Ordering and riding
How do I book a taxi through iSplit?
Open the app, allow location access and mark your pickup point on the map. Enter your destination, choose a vehicle type and confirm. The request goes to the nearest available driver, and you follow their position live on the map.
Do I need an account to book?
Yes. Registration is free and done with your phone number via secure SMS verification. The account lets us match you with a driver, send you ride status notifications and keep your trip history.
How long do I wait for a driver to arrive?
The wait time depends on the number of available drivers near you and on traffic. Once a driver accepts the ride, you see the estimated time of arrival and the vehicle's position updating live in the app.
Can I book a ride for later?
City rides are booked for immediate pickup. For transfers to and from the airport you can reserve a slot in advance with an exact date and time, so the vehicle is ready when you need it.
Ride sharing
What does it mean to share a ride?
Sharing lets you travel with other people on the same or a similar route and split the cost of the ride. Instead of one person paying the whole amount, the cost is divided among all the passengers in the vehicle.
How is my share of the price calculated?
The ride price is divided among the passengers traveling together. Before you confirm, you see your share in the app, so you know exactly how much you'll pay before you set off.
Is sharing safe?
Yes. All passengers and drivers are verified by phone number, and the ride is tracked live in the app. The vehicle and driver details are visible to you before you get in.
Payment and pricing
How do I pay for the ride?
City rides can be paid in cash directly to the driver. For airport transfers, online payment via PayPal is also available, where fees of up to 5% may apply according to PayPal's rules.
What currency are the prices in?
Rides around Skopje are charged in Macedonian denars (МКД). Airport transfers have a fixed price quoted in euros (EUR).
How much does a ride across the city cost?
The price depends on the route and the vehicle type. The fare for rides around the city is as follows:
Airport transfer
How much does an airport transfer in Skopje cost?
The transfer has a fixed price: 25 EUR from the city of Skopje to Skopje Airport (SKP) and 28 EUR from the airport to the city. The price is all-inclusive and known in advance.
Does the driver wait for me at the airport?
Yes. For airport transfers, the driver meets you at the terminal holding a sign with your name, so you can recognize each other easily. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How do I book an airport transfer?
Go to the airport transfer page, choose the route, enter the date, time and number of passengers, and submit the request. Our team confirms the booking within a few minutes. Book a transfer
Cancellation, safety and billing
How do I cancel a booked ride?
You can cancel a ride directly in the app while you are still waiting for a driver to accept or arrive. For a booked airport transfer, cancel via the booking card in the app.
What if the driver doesn't show up?
You track the driver's position live on the map. If the vehicle isn't moving or the driver isn't arriving, you can cancel the ride and order again. For help, contact us.
How does iSplit protect my safety?
All drivers are verified, and every ride is tracked live. The vehicle and driver details are visible to you before you get in, and you can share your route with loved ones for extra safety.
In which languages is the app available?
iSplit is available in Macedonian, Albanian and English. You can change the language at any time using the language switcher at the top of the page.
Is there a minimum age to use the service?
Yes. iSplit is intended for people aged at least 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from people under that age.
