The safety of every ride is our priority

Safety is not an add-on — it is built into every step of the ride with iSplit. From vetting drivers before they drive for us, through live vehicle tracking, to the ability to share your ride with a trusted contact — our goal is for every passenger and every driver to feel safe, around the clock.

How we protect you

Here are the concrete measures we apply for the safety of every ride in Skopje.

Driver verification

Every driver goes through a vetting process before they can accept rides through iSplit. We require personal identification, a valid driver's license and vehicle details, which we review manually before approving the account.

Live tracking

From the moment you accept the ride, you see the vehicle on the map in real time. Both the passenger and the driver follow the same route, so you always know where you are and when you'll arrive.

Share your ride

In a few steps you can share your ride with a trusted contact — a family member or a friend — who can then follow the route live until you arrive safely at your destination.

Emergency help

If something goes wrong, the app gives you quick access to emergency help. Your location and ride details are at hand so you can quickly contact the relevant services or our support.

Verified phone number

Every account is linked to a verified phone number through Firebase authentication. This means that both passengers and drivers are real, verified users — not anonymous profiles.

Ratings and feedback

After each ride you can rate the driver, and drivers rate passengers. Ratings help us keep quality high and respond if something isn't right.

Option for female users

Female passengers can choose an option to limit the offers they receive, for even greater peace of mind and comfort while traveling — especially late at night.

Data protection

Your personal data, location and ride history are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on secure servers. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.

Before you set off

A few simple habits make every ride even safer:

Check that the license plate and the vehicle model match those shown in the app.
Get in only after the driver confirms your name.
Share your ride with a trusted contact for longer or night-time trips.
Sit in the back seat when traveling alone and fasten your seatbelt.

Safety for drivers too

Safety works both ways. Drivers see verified passenger profiles, follow the same ride live and can rate every trip. Billing is direct and transparent, with no hidden costs — so drivers focus on the road, not on complications.

Privacy and data
