Receipts and invoices in iSplit

After every paid iSplit ride you get a receipt with a breakdown of the amount. The receipt is enough for personal records and for travel-expense reimbursement at most employers. If you need a formal invoice in a company's name, with tax details, that is requested through the business account. This guide explains where to find the receipt, what it contains, and how to request an invoice.

Where to find the receipt

The receipt for each ride is kept in the ride history in the app, so you can always come back to it — even days or weeks later.

  1. Open iSplit and go to the "Profile" section.
  2. Select “Ride history”.
  3. Tap the ride for which you need a receipt.
  4. View the breakdown of the amount and, if needed, share or save the receipt.

You can share the receipt as text or an image via the usual sharing options on your phone, for example to email for submitting to an employer.

What the receipt contains

Each receipt shows the complete breakdown of the ride, so it is clear how the final amount was reached:

  • Date and time of the ride.
  • Pickup location and destination.
  • Distance traveled and duration.
  • Base fare and the per-kilometer rate calculation, or the fixed price for an airport transfer.
  • Final amount and payment method.

For transfers to and from the airport, the fixed price you see before confirming is shown: 25 EUR from Skopje to Skopje Airport and 28 EUR from the airport to the city. For all other rides, the per-kilometer rate applies.

If you shared a ride, the receipt shows only your share of the price, since each passenger pays separately through their own account.

How to request a company invoice

The in-app receipt is not the same thing as a formal invoice in a company's name with tax details. If you need an invoice for accounting, it is issued through the business account.

Set up a business account via the companies page, where you enter the company details once. After that, employee rides can be invoiced together, with tidy monthly records.

Issuing an invoice requires accurate company details — name, address, and tax number. Enter them when setting up the business account to avoid delays.

If you took a ride as a private user and additionally need an invoice, contact us with the ride date and the company details.

Frequently asked questions

  • I need an invoice for a past ride — request it through the business account or contact us with the date and amount.
  • The amount on the receipt isn't clear — the breakdown shows the distance, time, and rate; for the airport the fixed price applies.
