Card payment in iSplit
Paying by card in iSplit is fast and secure. Once you add a card to your profile, the fare is charged automatically at the end, with no need to find cash or wait for change. This guide explains how to add a card, how the charge works, and how to find your receipts.
How to add a card
- Open iSplit and go to the "Profile" section.
- Select "Payment methods", then tap "Add card".
- Enter the card number, expiry date, and security code (CVC).
- Confirm the card. A small verification from your bank may be required to confirm the card is valid.
You can save multiple cards and choose which one is your default. The default card is used automatically for every subsequent ride, unless you select another payment method before booking.
How billing works
When the ride ends, the final amount is calculated based on the distance traveled and the time, and then charged to your default card. No extra steps are needed on your part — the charge happens on its own.
Fixed prices apply for airport transfers, so you see the exact amount before you confirm: 25 EUR from Skopje to Skopje Airport and 28 EUR from the airport to the city. For all other rides in Skopje, the per-kilometer rate applies.
If you share a ride, each passenger pays only their share of the price via their own card, so the amount is never charged twice.
Data security
iSplit does not store your card details on its servers. Payment processing is handled by an authorized payment processor that uses encryption and payment-industry standards. All communication is protected via HTTPS.
Never share your security code (CVC) or one-time confirmation codes with anyone. The iSplit team will never ask you for them.
Invoices and receipts
After every paid ride you get a receipt with a breakdown of the amount — base fare, distance, and time. Receipts are kept in the ride history in the app, so you can always go back to them.
If you need a formal receipt or invoice for work purposes, see the Receipts and invoices guide.

- Card declined — check that you have sufficient funds and that online payments are allowed by your bank.
- Expired card — delete the old card and add a new one in "Payment methods".
- Charge error — try again or choose another card; if the problem persists, contact us.
