Restoring access to your iSplit account

Your iSplit account is linked to your phone number. This means that logging in and recovering access always go through number verification, with no passwords to forget. This guide explains how to log in again, what to do if you change or lose your number, and when to contact the support team.

Phone number reconfirmation

iSplit verifies your identity through Firebase phone number verification. When you sign out or log in on a new device, the process is the same as the first login:

  1. Open iSplit and select “Log in”.
  2. Enter the same phone number you used when creating the account.
  3. You'll receive an SMS with a one-time verification code.
  4. Enter the code in the app to restore full access to your account and ride history.

Since the account is tied to your number, as soon as you verify the same number you get back your past rides, saved places, and payment methods.

If you don't receive the verification code

  • Check that you have signal and that the number is entered correctly, with the right country calling code.
  • Wait one minute and tap “Resend” if the SMS is delayed.
  • Check whether you're blocking unknown numbers or whether a spam filter is holding the SMS.
  • If the code still doesn't arrive, try again later or contact us for help.

Change phone number

If you still have access to your old account, you can update the number from the “Profile” section. After entering the new number you'll receive a new verification code; entering it changes the number, while your ride history stays saved on the same account.

If you no longer have access to your old number, don't create a new account if you want to keep your past rides. Instead, contact us so we can link the new number to your existing account after verifying your identity.

Lost or stolen phone

If your phone is lost or stolen, no one can access your account without the one-time code sent to your number. For extra security, ask your carrier to block the SIM card and sign in on a new device by verifying the same number.

Never share your one-time verification code with anyone. The iSplit team will never ask you for a verification code by phone or message.
