iSplit collects only as much data as is needed to get you safely from one point to another and to show you the exact price. Below is a clear explanation of which data we use, why we need it, and how you manage it.

Location
We use your location to suggest the pickup point, calculate the route and price, and show you the vehicle moving toward you in real time. Location is used while you're booking and riding; we don't track your position when you're not ordering a ride.

Phone number
Your phone number is used to sign in and verify your account via a code we send to your phone. It also lets the driver contact you if they need to find you at the pickup point.

Ride history
We store your past rides so you can view previous routes, get a receipt, and re-order to places you visit often. The history also helps us resolve a dispute or issue if something goes wrong during a ride.
Why we need this data
Every piece of data we collect has a specific purpose: to connect you with a nearby driver, show you the exact price upfront, make the ride safe, and provide you with a receipt for the trip. We don't sell personal data and don't use it for purposes beyond providing the service you expect.
Who the data is entrusted to
To run the service we use trusted third parties: Firebase (Google) for phone number verification and notifications, and OpenStreetMap with OSRM for the maps and route calculation. We share only as much as is needed for those features to work.
Your controls
You decide how much data you share and can change those choices at any time:
- You turn location and notification permissions on or off from your phone's settings.
- You can request a review or deletion of your personal data through our support at info@isplit.mk.
- Your ride history stays linked to your account and is available to you for as long as the account is active.
