Flights from France to Skopje: Paris Beauvais, Mulhouse and the alternatives

Flights from France to Skopje come down to two airports in the winter 2026/27 timetable, both served by Wizz Air: Paris Beauvais, about 85 km north of Paris, and EuroAirport on the French side of Basel, near Mulhouse. easyJet's summer flights from Paris Orly and Wizz Air's winter flights from Lyon have both stopped. The flight takes between about 2 hours 15 minutes and 2 hours 50 minutes. Below: how often each route flies, which airport suits which region, the nearest options if you live in Lyon, Marseille or Strasbourg, and what to do once you land.

Information checked

Flights from Paris to Skopje: Beauvais, not Charles de Gaulle

Wizz Air flies from Paris Beauvais (BVA) to Skopje International Airport (SKP) all year. It is the only scheduled route from the Paris area: there is no flight from Charles de Gaulle, and easyJet's route from Orly ran in summer 2026 only. Beauvais is about 85 km north of Paris, so add the journey out there when you compare fares.

The Beauvais route flew three times a week in summer 2026 and runs twice a week in the winter 2026/27 timetable. The flights land in Skopje between about 17:40 and 19:25, depending on the day, and leave Skopje around midday.

  • Airline: Wizz Air
  • Summer 2026: 3 round trips a week
  • Winter 2026/27: 2 a week
  • Flight time: about 2 hours 50 minutes, by our estimate
  • Landing time in Skopje: about 17:40 on Sundays, 19:25 on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Mulhouse: the most frequent route from France

EuroAirport stands on French soil between Mulhouse and Basel and has a French sector with its own code, MLH, although airlines sell it under the code BSL. Wizz Air flies from there to Skopje about 10 times a week, all year, which makes it the busiest route for anyone in Alsace or Franche-Comté.

The same airport also has Wizz Air flights to Ohrid, about twice a week in winter. Both routes, with Zurich and Geneva, are covered in the guide to flights from Switzerland and Basel.

No direct flight from Lyon, Marseille or Strasbourg: the nearest options

Wizz Air flew from Lyon to Skopje in winter 2025/26 only and has since dropped the route; it is not in the winter 2026/27 timetable. There is no scheduled flight from Marseille, Nice, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Lille or Strasbourg either. Freebird Europe runs a few multi-stop charter flights that call at Paris and Marseille in spring and autumn, but those are not regular routes and their dates vary.

If you'd rather change planes, Vienna, Istanbul and Zurich all have flights to Skopje all year; the overview of airlines flying into Skopje lists them.

Otherwise, for most of France the answer is an airport just across the border:

  • Lyon, Grenoble and Haute-Savoie: Geneva (GVA), with easyJet all year
  • Strasbourg: Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB) across the Rhine, with Wizz Air
  • Lille and the north: Brussels Charleroi (CRL), with Wizz Air 3 to 5 times a week
  • Alsace and Franche-Comté: Mulhouse, about 10 flights a week

France to Skopje flight time

Expect about 2 hours 50 minutes from Paris Beauvais and about 2 hours 15 minutes from Mulhouse. Both are our estimates from the published airport timetables, rounded to 5 minutes, not airline figures, so plan by the times on your booking.

There is no time difference: North Macedonia runs on Central European Time, like France, and changes its clocks on the same dates. The landing time on your ticket is the local time in Skopje, and a pickup you book there is entered in local time too.

Year-round and summer routes from France

Both current routes, Paris Beauvais and Mulhouse, fly in summer and in winter, so you can get from France to Skopje in any month. Beauvais is the one to watch: with two flights a week in winter, your dates decide whether it works. easyJet's Orly route was a summer 2026 service that is missing from the winter timetable, and whether it returns in 2027 was unknown on 1 November 2026.

If you're planning a trip for the Christmas holidays or the summer, check the exact days you need with the airline before you book anything else, because the airports publish their timetables as informative and subject to change.

Beyond France: the other airlines at Skopje Airport

The routes from France are only part of the airport's network. Across the airport as a whole, about a dozen airlines fly scheduled routes to Skopje in the winter 2026/27 timetable, and Wizz Air, with Wizz Air UK from London Luton, flies about three in four of them. The rest are mostly hub connections, useful when your own dates don't fit: Turkish Airlines from Istanbul Airport, Pegasus and AJet from Sabiha Gökçen, Austrian Airlines from Vienna, Air Serbia from Belgrade, Aegean from Athens, Croatia Airlines from Zagreb, Edelweiss and Chair Airlines from Zurich, and easyJet from Geneva. Lufthansa from Frankfurt, LOT from Warsaw and Norwegian from Oslo flew only in summer 2026.

Once you're in Skopje

The airport shuttle bus costs 199 MKD one way to three stops in the city, and the Skopje Airport bus guide has its timetable. The official taxi rank charges 1,500 MKD to the city on its published price list. If you book a car before you fly, we charge a fixed €32 per vehicle to the city, and the driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign (our fixed-price airport transfers).

The Sunday flight from Beauvais lands at about 17:40, in time for the bus, which is the cheapest way in if you travel light. The Tuesday and Thursday flights land at about 19:25, just before the last evening bus at about 19:30, so after passport control and baggage you will probably need another way in. A car booked ahead is worth it for families and groups with luggage, because the price is per vehicle, for late arrivals after a delay, or when you go straight on to another town, such as Tetovo for €80 by car, or Ohrid for a fixed €145 per vehicle (the drive from Skopje Airport to Ohrid).

Add your flight number to the booking: the driver follows the flight, and there is no extra charge for waiting caused by a delay; the flight delay guide explains the rest. There is no limit on how far ahead you can book, so once your Beauvais or Mulhouse dates are fixed, book your Skopje Airport transfer; nothing is paid at booking.

Is there a direct flight from Charles de Gaulle or Orly to Skopje?

Not at the moment. Neither Paris airport had a scheduled Skopje flight in the winter 2026/27 timetable. The Paris option is Wizz Air from Beauvais, about 85 km north of the city, twice a week in winter and three times a week in summer 2026. easyJet flew from Orly in summer 2026 only.

Are there flights from Lyon, Marseille or Strasbourg to Skopje?

Can I fly from Paris to Skopje in winter?

Yes. Wizz Air's Beauvais route runs all year, with two flights a week in the winter 2026/27 timetable and three in summer 2026. Mulhouse has more choice, with about 10 flights a week.

Want a car waiting when you land?

One fixed price per vehicle. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a sign. Send the request and we email you as soon as your driver is confirmed.
